Coi Leray Responds To the Low Sales Projections For Her 'Trendsetter' Album

by Daryl Nelson

Look, unless rappers are on the same level as people like Jay-Z, Kanye West, or Drake, they're probably not going to have huge sales numbers.

Why? Because a bunch of artists going double or triple platinum is a thing of the past due to several reasons, like streaming.

The best a new artist can hope for these days is to generate enough buzz so he or she can turn it into other money-making opportunities.

That could be the way Coi Leray is looking at things based on her response to reports that her Trendsetter album is on pace to sell about 11,000 units in its first week.

News of the low sales numbers made headlines but Coi seems to be taking it in stride.

God has been the best father to me. I can’t complain about anything. My debut album is amazing and not one song can you say is bad. It been 5 days. I understand Coi Leray is so viral & works good on blogs headlines but trust me,it’s all part of the game just ride out andstayfocus

Any response to Coi's tweets and her subtle dig at her dad Benzino?
