CJ Explains How He Deals With Hate And Being Called A Fake Blood

by Daryl Nelson

Staten Island rapper CJ burst onto the scene with his song "Whoopty," but he wasn't able to enjoy his success without controversy. After the video for the song dropped, he was accused of being a fake blood

The rapper and his people flash a lot of red in the "Whoopty" video and La Brim Johnson, a reported Blood leader, came down on CJ for using Blood imagery. There were also rumors that said CJ was assaulted for claiming Blood but that was never proven.

In a recent interview with Ebro Darden on Apple Music, the 24-year-old talked about his success, his new EP Loyalty over Royalty and some of the hate he's received.

"There’s no response," CJ told Ebro. "I don’t pay that no mind. Everybody got an opinion, you can’t satisfy everybody. I’m gonna keep doing what I do, and elevating, and perfecting my craft. I don’t really pay no mind to what the internet’s saying. I’m good on this side.”

How do you see CJ's career going from here?
