Ryan Anthony Salandy, a Christian rapper and college student, has been charged with murdering his producer after a fight over music.

Salandy and 21-year old William Dean McDaniel were seen arguing Friday afternoon in a Clarksburg, Maryland neighborhood, according to Montgomery County Police Capt. Paul Starks.

"Investigators believe there was some relationship where Mr. McDaniel was formatting or doing something with music given to him by Mr. Salandy," he said.
Witnesses spotted Salandy leaving the scene in a Saab. He  returned a few minutes later, struck McDaniel with the vehicle, and then drove away. McDaniel was pronounced dead at the scene. Police found a Saab with a broken windshield and a blood-like substance on it at Salandy's home, prompting the 22-year old's arrest.

Salandy has been charged with first degree murder, and is being held without bond.
