Chris Brown is supposed to play a show in Johannesburg, South Africa at First National Bank Stadium in December. But it might not happen because an organization called Women For Change is against it.

They asked the government to stop Chris from playing the show, because he assaulted his ex Rihanna in 2009. The organization also created a petition titled "MuteChrisBrown," which has amassed over 39,000 signatures.

Women For Change's executive director, Sabina Walter, spoke to BBC about the petition.

"When I saw the news that Chris Brown was coming to South Africa, I was shocked and deeply disappointed," she said. "The petition was started to send a strong message that we will not tolerate the celebration of individuals with a history of violence against women."

The organization created a TikTok video as well that goes into detail about the petition, and Chris responded to it.

"Can't wait to come," he wrote in the comments, according to Hot97.

His fans also commented and ripped the organization, with some calling them clout chasers.
