Chinx's 'Welcome To JFK' Sold Over 16,000 Copies

By Sermon

It's been a little over a week since Chinx's posthumous debut album, Welcome To JFK, came out. eOne, the label that released it, has reported that the album landed at #2 on the indie and rap charts, as well as #21 on the overall Billboard top 200.

It terms of actual numbers, it moved 16,400 first week. Not a particularly great number -- even in this era of diminished sales. But, really, more than you would expect from an artist of Chinx's stature. (It's also a sales figure that Gunplay would love to have.) We just wish Chinx was around to see his hard work pay off.
