DJ Akademiks caused somewhat of a stir this week when he ranked current rappers on four tiers.
Ak's tiering was based on ability, touring and sales and Drake topped the list in his own tier
If you go simply by RIAA certified sales, Drake also comes out on top with no other peer in his tier.
After Drake's God Tier, is Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar, and Kanye in a tier. (If you add up the three of their sales, it's not that much more than Drake's sales.) One could argue that Nicki should also be in her own tier.
Post Malone isn't considered Hip Hop for the purpose of this list. If he was, he'd be between Drake and everyone else.
