Charlamagne Tha God Denies Chief Keef's Influence During Debate

by Daryl Nelson

Charlamagne tha God sparked a debate after questioning Chief Keef's global influence.

Earlier this week, The Breakfast Club host named who he believes are the four most influential rappers ever and Keef wasn't one of them.

That's despite the Chicago rapper being named the most influential rapper of the past decade earlier this year.

“I’m not going to say the order number but there’s four: Kanye, JAY-Z, Pac, and [Lil’] Wayne. The four most influential rappers of all time," said Charlamagne on The What.

One of the hosts then brought up Keef's name, and Charlamagne explained why he's not on his list.

"You know why I don’t put Chief Keef in there? Because Chief Keef didn’t influence the world, he influenced a sound of a region,"he said. "Those four people I named literally influenced people all over the world.”
