Charlamagne Addresses Charges He Raped His Wife

by HHL JT

Charlamagne dodged a bullet when the state of South Carolina declined to recharge him on a rape allegation from 2001, despite the alleged victim's demand for belated justice.

But that whole ordeal has brought scrutiny onto some of CTG's old statements, including one in which he suggested he may have raped his wife. Here's the quote, which was published on Madamenoire yesterday under the headline "Charlamagne Admits First Sexual Experience With Wife Was Rape."

‘I keep telling’ y’all. I’ve told y’all this over and over. It’s a lot of things guys did especially when we were young that were rape that we just didn’t consider rape. I’m married to my wife. Me and my wife dated for a whole year, she would not give me no pussy. Me and my wife hung out one Saturday night and she got sloppy drunk and passed out in my momma’s house and I got that pussy. She was fucking me back and all that but she was really drunk. I asked her yesterday, ‘Yo, did I rape you the first time we ever had sex?’ And she goes, ‘I mean in hindsight, yeah…’

To clear things up, Charlamagne called his wife of 17 years Jessica this morning on The Breakfast Club. She explained there was more to the story of their first time and that she certainly wasn't raped.

“That’s not not how it went down, we both know what happened and I was not passed out. I was very coherent, like enough for me to lift off my hips so you could take my panties off,” she replied.

CTG went on to say that he made a big mistake in describing their first time in the way that he did and explained that he's now more sensitive to rape and rape culture.
