CeeLo Green Explains Andre 3000's Ghostwriter Targeting Verse In 'Solo'

by HHL Editors

This is what Andre 3000 had to say in his most substantial verse in a decade:

"After 20 years in, I'm so naive
/ I was under the impression / That everyone wrote they own verses / It's comin' back different and, yeah, that shit hurts me."
He dropped those bars on the Frank Ocean track 'Solo (Reprise)', which dropped last week.

We all assumed he was needling Drake, because Drizzy is certainly the most famous user of ghostwriters in the modern day rap game.

However CeeLo Green just threw a big monkey wrench into that assumption.

Speaking with Sway, Green revealed 3 Stack's wrote the verse two years ago. Which is one year before Meek Mill blew Drake up with ghostwriter allegations.

When asked specifically if Dre's bars were about Meek-Drake, Green said "I can confirm that it's not, but it's good for Hip Hop."

Given 3K wrote the verse in 2014, whom do you think he was talking about?
