Carl Crawford Arrested for Domestic Violence and Holding Ex at Gunpoint

The founder of 1501 Certified Entertainment Carl Crawford probably hasn't been in the news this much since he played major league baseball.

He made headlines earlier this year when his artist Megan Thee Stallion said 1501 wouldn't let her drop new music after she asked to renegotiate her contract. Crawford shot back and accused Megan's management company Roc Nation and Jay-Z of getting in her head.

The latest on Crawford is that he was just booked for an incident that happened on May 8 when he allegedly choked his ex-girlfriend and held her at gunpoint.

The former Los Angeles Dodger and his ex met at her apartment in Houston to discuss their former relationship. The woman said she ended things with Crawford after they dated for two and a half years.

But when Crawford showed up, he allegedly pulled out a semi-automatic pistol and began asking her about a guy she's seeing.

"He unloaded the clip and ejected a round of the pistol and began walking towards her holding the firearm ...  Held the gun in one hand, and used the other hand to grab her by the head and neck, while asking her how long she had been dating a male acquaintance," said court documents that were secured by TMZ.

Crawford is also accused of pushing the woman down and slamming her head into a wall several times. His ex said she was finally able to escape when her 1-year-old daughter entered the room and caused a distraction.

The 38-year-old turned himself in today and has been charged with assault of a family member, impeding breathing. He's now behind bars on $10,000 bond.
