Cardi B Drops Out Of Big Budget Hollywood Film Days Before Shooting Starts

by Daryl Nelson

Cardi B will no longer be in the comedy Assisted Living after dropping out one week before shooting was supposed to begin.

The rapper said she quit the $30 million production because she's "overextended," according to Deadline. So, the production company, Paramount Players, canceled the movie altogether. But there's a chance they'll revisit shooting later on.

Cardi — who recently won a $4 million defamation suit against blogger Tasha K — was supposed to play a small-time crook in the film.

Her character was falsely accused of committing a crime and forced to hide out at her grandmother's senior living facility. She then dresses up like an elderly person to blend in.

Now, we'll have to see if Paramount Players sues Cardi for quitting the film since it's possible she violated a contract.
