Bun B Confirms A New Posthumous Pimp C Project

by HHL Editors

Pimp C died in 2007 after overdosing on purple drank.

Since then there have been two posthumous Pimp C solo albums, and another (half) posthumous effort from UGK, his group with Bun B.

In an interview with XXL, Bun confirmed another project from the grave for Pimp C, this one a solo EP.

It is happening. I’m not the person that’s putting it together. It’s actually his wife, Chinara, that’s putting it together. She and Juicy J are the ones that are putting the project together. I’m consulting them. They come by me and just ask, 'Do you think this is right?' But for the most part I’m not involved with the day-to-day aspects of the album. The album is a real project. I think it’s an EP though, not an album. But it’s a very real project and is coming along very well.
Previously, E-40, Too-Short, ASAP Rocky, Wiz Khalifa, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown and Rick Ross have been tied to the album/EP as features.

Are you down with another posthumous project from Pimp C? Or do you fear they are beginning to water down his strong legacy?
