Brisco Arrested For Credit Card Fraud After Months On The Lam

by HHL Editors

Brisco, a Florida rapper who has performed with Lil’ Wayne, Rick Ross, and DJ Khaled, was apprehended early Wednesday morning at a strip club in Hallandale Beach, Florida.

He is accused of $200,000 dollars worth of credit card fraud and identity theft, and was recorded selling counterfeit money to an undercover agent. Between August 2016 and November 2016, Brisco and his friends fraudulently bought items at home-improvement stores and then sold them at a discount to local contractors.

Brisco, government name British Mitchell, was caught while performing at The Playhouse Gentlemen's Club. Brisco told agents that he has been on the run since August and was fully aware of all charges against him. After an August incident at a furniture store, he was involved in two chases with police. Both were called off for safety reasons after he ran red lights at speeds of 100 mph. Since those incidents, he turned off the cell phone that authorities were tracking him with and had stopped posting on social media. Brisco was declared a fugitive from the law in October.

Ultimately, he was caught after another performer posted that Brisco would be at the event at the strip club.

Brisco is being held without bond, as his fugitive hijinks portray a severe flight risk. If convicted, he will face at least two years and nine months in jail for eight federal charges.
