Biz Markie was laid to rest in his hometown of Patchogue, Long Island Monday, August 2, with a star-studded crowd in attendance.
As ABC News reports, there was first a viewing of the body, then the funeral took place, where Reverend Al Sharpton gave the eulogy.
Some of the artists who attended include Fat Joe, Busta Rhymes, LL Cool J, Naughty by Nature's Treach, and Kid Capri.
"There's never going to be another Biz Markie," said Kid Capri at the service. "There's never going to be another one like him."
Biz died in Baltimore, Maryland on July 16, 2021 at 57 years old after first being hospitalized. He also suffered from Type II diabetes.
Rest in peace, Biz.
