One could say that Jay-Z and LeBron James have at least this in common: Despite being called the greatest of all time in their respective fields, they get a lot of hate.

It could be because people are tired of hearing how dope they are, which actually could be called hate.

Anyway, Jay was named the number one rapper of all time by Billboard and Vibe, as both publications have been listing their top rappers since last month in a collaboration.

Kendrick Lamar is number two on the list, Nas number three, Tupac number four, and Eminem number five.

Of course, people had a lot to say about Jay being number one.

"Jay-z is overhyped," someone tweeted when Billboard posted a photo of the Brooklyn rapper.

"It's funny that Billboard selected Jay Z as #1 because he rapped about how irrelevant their charts were to his success 🤣🤣🤣 But I guess you need him to remain relevant... 😵💀," wrote someone else.

"This a joke Jay ain't even a better rapper against Wayne," another tweet read.

Others, however, thought the list was solid.

"Em at 5 and Hov at 1 is actually very ACCURATE," one person tweeted.

Where do you place Jay on the all-time-greatest-rappers list?
