Big Sean Addresses Rumored Beef with Kendrick Lamar on 'Deep Reverence'

by Daryl Nelson

Big Sean announced yesterday that his album Detroit 2 is dropping on September 4, and he released the artwork.

The first single is "Deep Reverence," which features a verse from Nipsey Hussle. Sean addresses his rumored beef with Kendrick Lamar in the song.  There's been talk that they don't like each other, which started when K-Dot went at other rappers on "Control."

Many thought Sean dissed Kendrick on the song “Me, Myself & I” in 2015, while some said the TDE artist went at Sean on his song "The Heart Part 4" in 2017.

"After what happened to Nipsey, I reached out to Kendrick, it wasn't even no real issues there to begin with / Lack of communication and wrong information from people fueled by their ego /  It's like mixing flames with diesel /  Energy crazy, I realized that it's a two-way street / What's coming is going, if it don't give you more, it drains you," spit Sean on "Deep Reverence."
