Big L's Accused Murderer Murdered In Harlem

By HHL Editors

Gerard Woodley is the chief suspect in the 1999 murder of underground legend Big L.

He was shot in the head Thursday night, and died later in a Harlem hospital.

So far the police have no suspect in Woodley's murder

The 46-year old was a suspect in four other murders, and police don't think his murder has anything to do with the killing of Big L.

"He did a lot of bad things and someone decided it was time to go," source told DNA New York.

Big L was killed 17 years ago in his native Harlem after being shot nine times in the face and chest in a drive-by shooting.

Woodely was arrested for the murder. But he was released before going to trial, and the case has never been solved.
