Big K.R.I.T. 'Cadillactica' To Top Azealia Banks 'Broke With Expensive Taste' In First Week Album Sales

It should be another big week for the music industry with four albums (Taylor Swift, Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd and Garth Brooks) projected to break 100,000 in sales, an increasingly difficult feat.

The biggest Hip Hop album this week should belong to Big K.R.I.T, whose Cadillactica is expected to move between 35,000 and 40,000 in its first seven days. That would be the most in the genre since T.I. and Logic both moved around 70,000 in their openings three weeks ago.

Azealia Banks tried to drum up interest in Broke with Expensive Taste by using a surprise late week release. However, it only moved 11,198 units in its first three days, suggesting a week one total well short of K.R.I.T.'s projection, and suggesting Ms. Banks will remain broke unless she reigns in those expensive tastes.

Banks did get some free publicity after she attacked Eminem and defended Lana Del Rey on Twitter, so maybe that'll help her get some more sales. But no matter what, the King of the South should be the king of Hip Hop this week.
