Benny the Butcher Speaks On JAY-Z's Attitude Toward Drake Rivalry

JAY-Z has taken an interest in Benny The Butcher and has been mentoring the Griselda rapper and Roc Nation client.

Benny was asked about Hov during his No Jumper interview.  [Jump to 36 minutes.]

"Hov a mentor.  He's just trying to steer young guys in the right direction ... To see Hov accepts the responsibility of that when he don’t fu*king got to. I learn from him doing that and I feel responsible to the other generation from me learning from him."

Adam then asked Benny if Drake is excited about the Drake feature Benny or if it's not "his most favorite thing in the world", referencing the alleged beef between Hov and Drizzy.

"He's excited about it because I guess it would put me in a better position, he one of the first people I played it for," Benny explained about the rivalarly. “It’s Jay, man he don’t take that sh*t personal. He gonna be him. Hov gon’ be Hov. None of these niggas could hold a candle to that guy.  I don't feel like he feels he has to reassert himself."
