The Baltimore Ravens' free safety Earl Thomas could've been killed by his wife, who pointed a gun to his head because she supposedly caught him cheating.

TMZ says it happened on April 13 in Austin, Texas.

"We observed that a black female wearing an orange sweater with a knife in her hand, later identified as Nina Thomas, was chasing a shirtless black male, later identified as Earl Thomas, with a pistol in his hand around a vehicle," said Police.

Nina said Earl left their house after they argued over his drinking, and his brother Seth Thomas picked him up. She later went on to his Snapchat account to learn his whereabouts and found out that he was in a nearby Airbnb. So she grabbed his 9mm pistol to "scare him."

The gun-wielding wife said she saw Earl and Seth naked in bed with several other women at the Airbnb. She admits to pointing the gun at Earl's head but said she removed the magazine. There was still a bullet in the chamber that she didn't know about. Eventually, Earl was able to wrestle the gun away from his wife.

Nina was charged with burglary of a residence with the intent to commit aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and family violence.

Earl has already released a statement about the incident.

"Instead of talking about us, just keep us in y'all prayers," he said. "Stuff like this happens. We try to live the best lives we possibly can. Sometimes it doesn't go as planned."

What do you think about all of this?
