In December, Will Smith said Bad Boys 3 was "close to shooting."
Sony also announced a January 18, 2018 for the movie.
That's not going to happen. Joe Carnahan, who was writing and directing the film, has left the project. While "scheduling conflicts" was the official reason for the departure, "creative difference" was cited by sources close to the project.
Sony had already quietly pushed the film back to November 18, 2018, but now that may be jeopardy.
Martin Lawrence is already in his 50s, and this latest delay means Smith will have also entered his sixth decade when the film comes out.
