Is Kendrick Lamar Aiming To Take Drake Head On In 2020?

by HHL JT

It stands to reason that both Kendrick Lamar and Drake, the two most commercially successful rappers of their generation, are going to drop albums in 2020.

The folks on Joe Budden's podcast believe Kendrick is tracking Drake's movements because he wants to take him on directly.

"It feels that way to me," Joe said.  "Because Kendrick has eyes.  I remember Mal, in your introduction episode, when you said Drake and Kanye were friends because they had songs together.  And I laughed in your f*cking face and said don't say no stupid sh*t like that to me again.  Just to find out years later there was some smoke there, right? I don't think that the Drake Kendrick tension is dead ...  I think that last decade they fought as long as they could have fought and the decade ended without us having a decisive winner.  And I don't think either of them has gotten off of that.  Drake leaks have been leaking for months. And when I say Kendrick has eyes, he sees that ... I think Kendrick is the only one that could and would say I'm looking for that drop ... I think he's looking for him."

Joe, Mal and Rory then all agreed that, if possible, Kendrick would drop his album the same day as Drake's.

Are you buying that and who do you think would win the showdown?
