Is Anthony Davis Playing Contract Games So The Lakers Can Sign Giannis Antetokounmpo?

by HHL JT

Lakers superstar Anthony Davis is a free agent.

However, he's fully expected to re-up with the LA.

Yet, he hasn't yet.

ESPN insider Brian Windhorst thinks he might know why.

Anthony Davis could be waiting to see how Giannis approaches his supermax extension, and Davis could decide to sign a 1+1 deal, which would give the Lakers room to pursue Giannis next summer, via @WindhorstESPN on ESPN.

Oh my... 🤯

Giannis is eligible for a supermax with the Bucks that would pay him $228 million over five years.

Do you think he would take less money next summer to be what would amount to LeBron's replacement in LA?

For their part, the Bucks expect the Green Freek will resign and have been building their roster accordingly.
