Alpo Of "Paid In Full", Now In Witness Protection, Calls In To Radio Show

by HHL JT

Alberto "Alpo" Martinez, who Cam'ron's Rico character in Paid In Full was based on, got 35 years in 1991 after striking a deal on 14 counts of murder.

He was released and allegedly placed in the witness protection program in 2015. He's been spotted on the streets of The Bronx, and is known to call into radio shows.

He may have just called into a podcast that featured Miss Tee, who was discussing her book Harlem Heroin(e): My Love Affair With Harlem Street Life And The Men Who Ruled It.

"I just want to tell Miss T I like the book. This is Alpo," is all the former boss said.

As you can see, everyone seemed surprised to hear from him.

In the book, Miss Tee writes about how Alpo confessed and apologized for killing his partner Rich Porter, who became Mekhi Phifer's doomed character Mitch in Paid in Full.

Here's Alpo discussing why he snuffed out Rich in another, longer, interview.
