AJ Johnson's Widow Calls Out Fake Love; Struggles To Pay For Funeral

by HHL JT

When news of Friday and I Got The Hook Up star AJ Johnson's death at age 55 emerged earlier this week, there was an outpouring of grief and kind words from his fans and co-stars.

However, AJ Johnson's wife Lexis Jones Mason is arguing that love is fake because the GoFundMe she set up to pay for Johnson's funeral only raised $700 of its 20K goal on its first day.

"I did the GoFundMe, it's $700 in there. A few of my friends CashApp me and I made that clear. I got like another 400, but no, it's like you said, y'all say y'all love him...where's the love? Y'all not helping," Mason said. "I get the calls or inboxes saying y'all raising money. No, we're raising money because I have to pay for this all out of pocket. I'm asking for help. But if I don't get it, it's fine because I'm not leaving my husband in there," she told TMZ.

That interview must have done the trick because now she's raised over 25K.

Johnson was found unresponsive in a store on September 6.  The cause of death hasn't been revealed.
