A$AP Rocky Addresses Joe Budden's Dismissive Statements Toward His Music Career

by HHL JT

Rapper turned hot taker Joe Budden had this to say about the state of A$AP Rocky's career.

"Ya'll haven't talked about A$AP Rocky music in ions ... Not just you guys, there's a large group of people that have not said anything about A$AP Rocky's music in quite some time. Since, probably, "F*cking Problems ... He's not a star in music. He's a star in this culture, a bright one, a big one," Budden said on his podcast, and then argued Rocky couldn't sell out Madison Square Garden on his own.

A$AP was asked about Budden saying he was no longer a music star when he stopped by The Breakfast Club this morning.

"That's his opinion," Rocky said. "You know, I think it's contradictions in his statement. It's flawed but that's his opinion. Everybody got opinions."

Rocky later defended his latest album, 2018's Testing, which didn't do as well commercially as his previous efforts and was a big part of why Budden had downgraded his music career.

According to Rocky, it was an experimental album and he doesn't care to make music as everyone else does. [Jump to 19:30]
