A Tyler, The Creator Birthday Party Needs No Birthday Boy

by HHL JT

Tyler, The Creator is the founder of the alternative hip hop collective Odd Future. He also has a repetition for being a bit of a odd fellow, and his penchant for the unusual was on display during an appearance on KTLA Morning New in Los Angeles.

The 23-year old was able to play it straight for the first couple minutes of the interview, promoting his third annual Camp Flop Gnaw Carnival and his fashion line while also discussing the mysterious comings and goings of Odd Future contributor Earl Sweatshirt. However, as Tyler tried his best to make normal, one could see his inner Goblin bubbling up. Finally, it exploded into a big birthday celebration.

"Birthday Time," he suddenly screamed. "It's your birthday. It's your birthday," he chanted maniacally, as an accomplice produced a cake and confetti and balloons rained down on the set.

Whose birthday was it? Not Tyler's. Nor was the big day for any of the assembled KTLA Morning News team or their crew.

Maybe that was Tyler's point. It's always someone's birthday somewhere.

Or maybe he just likes cake.
