A Tribe Called Quest & Eminem Nominated To Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame

by Daryl Nelson

The last rappers to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame were Jay-Z and LL Cool J, and A Tribe Called Quest, as well as Eminem, may be the next.

Both Em and the legendary New York group have been nominated to the Hall along with Lionel Richie, Beck, Rage Against the Machine, Dionne Warwick, Duran Duran, Pat Benatar, DEVO, Fela Kuti, MC5, Judas Priest, Kate Bush, Eurythmics, the New York Dolls, Carly Simon, and Dolly Parton.

“This year’s ballot recognizes a diverse group of incredible artists, each who has had a profound impact on the sound of youth culture,” said chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation, John Sykes. “Their music not only moved generations, but also influenced the sound of countless artists that followed.”

Neither Em or the remaining Tribe members have responded to the honor yet.

Do you think both of them will get in?
