A$AP Rocky Surprisingly Takes The Stand And Begs For Justice

by HHL JT

Yesterday, A$AP Rocky's lawyer said Rocky wouldn't take the stand during his assault trial in Sweden because they didn't want him to be cross-examined.

Today he took the stand.

The decision was made after prosecutors presented some damning new information. The prosecution alleges that Rocky beat Mustafa Jafari with a bottle during an assault that also included two other members of his entourage.

They presented to the court a text message from Rocky's assistant that read  "Harlem came out and smashed a bottle on a person." They contend that "Harlem" is Rocky, a Harlem native. There was another message in which the assistant typed "I hope Rocky deleted all the videos on his phone and kept only the one," suggesting Rocky initially had video of the bottle beating.  Jafari had injuries consistent with getting hit by a bottle.

From the stand, Rocky admitted that he and his team jumped Jafari -- a diminutive 19-year-old with a long criminal history -- because he kept harassing them and they were afraid because they thought Jafari and his friend were on drugs. But he denied beating him with a bottle.

Rocky wrapped up his testimony with an appeal for justice.

"I have spent a month in Sweden. This is my 5th or 6th time here. I have seen the most beautiful architecture. And the not-so-nice things ... what I want is justice. I want my name to be cleared. Justice for all of us."

We should get a verdict soon. Rocky could get up to two years.
