Safaree Says Cardi B's Success Has Nicki Minaj Scared; Talks Meek Mill's Crew Jumping Him

by Daryl Nelson

Does Cardi B's recent success have Nicki Minaj nervous? After all, Barbz is supposed to be rap's reigning queen, but since 'Bodak Yellow' became a hit, Cardi's name and face has been everywhere.

While chatting with the hosts of Everyday Struggle, Nicki's ex Safaree Samuels said Nicki is worried about Cardi.

"I know she is [scared of Cardi's success]," he said. "Because I know how she is."
Safaree also said that even though Nicki congratulated the Bronx rapper on 'Bodak Yellow' going No. 1, she wasn't sincere about it.

"If you know somebody, you don't even have to second guess or wonder [if they're being sincere]," he stated.
In another part of the interview, Safaree talked about getting jumped by Meek Mill's crew earlier this year during the weekend of the BET Awards.

"The funny thing, I was waiting for my security," he explained. "I was probably outside for no more than a minute. Then boom, I just felt that shit just happen in the back of my head. When I saw him (Meek Mill) get out, I'm standing there just looking at him and by the time he stood out, that's when I got hit already."
Next, Safaree said he ran up the block, got a bottle and a knife and wanted to go back to settle the score.

You can hear his full account of getting jumped at the 14:55 mark and hear him talk about Nicki and Cardi at 30:45.
