Much of JAY-Z's 4:44 album had to do with black people owning more businesses and becoming financially independent. He discussed this and how it relates to the controversial Ball family during his recent interview with Rap Radar.

"I like to talk about other people, so it's not a personal thing with me," said Jay during the sit-down. "Lavar Ball said he was going to start his own company and everybody is like 'You should sign to Nike.' He may have a big mouth, but I brought three pair. I didn't get them, but that man has a vision of his own."
Later, TMZ caught up to Lonzo and asked him what he thought about Jay buying his ZO2 shoes.

"All I got to say is thank you, man. That's it. Appreciate it," he said.
The TMZ reporter then asked Lonzo if he would possibly do something with the sports management division of Jay's company Roc Nation, but the 19-year-old said he doesn't deal with those kinds of things.

"I just play basketball, man. I don't handle all that," he answered. "That's the brand's job."
Lonzo also said that his new shoes come out this November, so Jay will get them then.

Do you think the fact that JAY-Z gave Lonzo and his Big Baller Brand shoes a co-sign, will help others take it more seriously and want to buy them?
