Donald Trump Says He's The Reason Colin Kaepernick Is Out Of A Job

by Daryl Nelson

Former San Francisco 49er Colin Kaepernick hasn't been picked up by any of the NFL teams for next season, and Donald Trump is taking credit for it.

He did so at a recent rally where he was pushing for Obamacare to be replaced with a new healthcare system. As most probably know, Kaepernick spent much of last season kneeling during the National Anthem to protest racial injustice, which pleased some and angered others.

"Your San Francisco quarterback, I'm sure nobody ever heard of him," said Trump. "It was reported that NFL owners don't want to pick him up, because they don't want to get a nasty tweet from Donald Trump. Do you believe that?"
The President's claims may not be too far off, because a Bleacher Report confirmed that the league's owners decided to pass on Kaepernick to avoid political backlash. (On the other hand, his once dynamic skills seem to be in rapid decline.)

Meanwhile, Spike Lee had something to say about the 6'4" QB not being selected, and he blasted the NFL and his hometown Jets in particular.

Do you think at least one of the teams will scoop up Kaepernick, or are his days in the NFL over?
