50 Cent Says That You Better Know Who Rakim Is

"My favorite rapper used to sing, 'check, check out my melody.'" 

That's a line from 50 Cent in The Game's 2005 cut "Hate It or Love It," and he was quoting a line from Rakim's '80s classic "My Melody."

50 has spoken more than once about being a big Rakim fan, and on Monday, October 4, he posted a video of the legendary rapper delivering lyrics. Fif then told his followers that they better know who Rakim is.
