50 Cent Says Eminem Recorded "Relapse 2" And Shelved It Because Of Critics

Revival was Eminem's ninth studio album. It could have been his tenth.

During a Big Boy Neighborhood interview, 50 Cent revealed that Eminem recorded an entire Relapse 2 but didn't drop it because he didn't like the critical response to the first one.

The conversation started when Big Boy brought up all the criticism of Revival -- which Em addressed in his "Chloraseptic Remix".

"Being criticized about the music actually effects him," 50 explained. "Because he's been focused completely on that the entire time. He didn't take a day off ... We had a whole other album when he did Relapse. He didn't like the response so he didn't even put out the whole Relapse 2. So it's like, if he doesn't like the response to it, he can change it."

Fif followed that up by arguing folks need to put more respek on Em's name.

"I never heard a new R&B singer come out and say Prince wasn't hot," Fif said. "The new guys should pay homage to Em. He's a big part of why we grew as fast as we grew."

It's kind of a funny thing for 50 to say, considering Fif recently ripped JAY-Z for making music that sounds too "old".
