50 Cent Explains Why He Turned Down Donald Trump's Money To Do Inauguration

by HHL JT

Remember when Donald Trump couldn't get any musical acts anyone had heard of to do his inauguration?

50 Cent does, because Trump allegedly offered Fif 500K just to appear. 50 turned down the offer.

He explained why last night on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

"I didn't do it because I didn't know if I could fix the damage," he said. "To be honest with you, all money's not good money. You have to be careful what you do publicly because—I don't know how you fix that thing. I just was like 'whoa,'" 50 joked. "Don't bring me to fix the African American vote. Bring somebody else. I'll see you later."

African American artist Chrisette Michele did play Trump's inauguration. She got 250K for her 30-minute set. However, she says she regrets doing the gig because her fans turned on her and she believes it led to her label dropping her.
