50 Cent Criticizes JAY-Z For Taking A Shot At Future

by HHL Editors

JAY-Z used a little wordplay to send a shot at Future on 'Kill JAY-Z', the opening track of JAY's album 4:44.

"In the future, other niggas playin’ football with your son," Hov raps.
It's an obvious reference to Ciara's new hubby and star QB Russell Wilson acting as a father figure to Future's son with Ciara.

Future never directly responded to that bar.  But Hendrix did take after JAY for his now-notorious money phone advice.

50 Cent just weighed on in the initial shot during an Ebro In The Morning interview. Fif argued that the 40-something Hov just threw the shot to stay relevant.

"The line that he said, the Future line, why did he say that?" Fif asked of 'Kill JAY-Z. 'Why? ... I would have passed on the line. There was no reason to do that. It's just the competitive side of Hip Hop, and he threw the shot just to throw the shot."
After making that statement, 50 agreed with Ebro that Hov was essentially trolling Future.

This isn't the first time 50 Cent has come after JAY-Z and 4:44. In July, he called the album "golf course music."

Do you think JAY shaded Future just to stay relevant with the kids? Or is 50 jealous of Hov's middle-age musical success?
