50 Cent Comments After Death On 'Power' Set

Tragedy struck the Power family at 4:30 this morning when Production Assistant Pedro Jimenez was fatally run over by an SUV while setting up parking cones for a location shoot for the Starz series.

The driver of 2006 Ford Explorer was another member of the Power crew.  No cast members were on the Brooklyn set when the 63-year-old Jimenez was killed. Police are investigating.

In the wake of Jimenez death, production of Power has been temporarily shut down. 

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the members of our Power family,” a Starz spokesperson told Deadline. “Our thoughts are with Mr. Jimenez’ family as we work to fully understand what has happened.”

Jimenez had been with Power since it debuted in 2014. RIP.
