50 Cent Calls For Black Film Community To Drop Blackball Against Mo'Nique

by HHL JT

In 2009, Mo’Nique won an Oscar for her supporting role in Precious.

Then her career inexplicably stalled.

According to the actress/comedian, she was systematically blackballed by Black film producers and directors because she didn't thank Precious director Lee Daniels and the studio in her acceptance speech.

For his part, Daniels has said Mo'Nique is difficult to work with.

One Black producer who will work with Mo'Nique is 50 Cent, who recently cast her in Power.

Fif, who has his own issues with Lee Daniels, took to Instagram to encourage others to give Mo'Nique work and to promote Power.

"I Gotta get @therealmoworldwide back in pocket, we only suppose to cancel shit that ain’t good for the culture. we need you to WIN again now MONIQUE," Fif typed.
