You might've known that 2Pac dated Madonna, but you probably didn't know why they parted ways.
According to a letter written by Pac while he was in prison for sexual assault, he broke up with Madonna because he wasn't comfortable being with a white woman.
"For you to be seen with a black man wouldn't in any way jeopardize your career," he wrote in the letter published by TMZ. "If anything it would make you seem that much more open and exciting. But for me, at least in my previous perception, I felt due to my image, I would be letting down half of the people who made me what I thought I was. I never meant to hurt you."In another part of the letter, Pac revealed he was hurt by something Madonna said in an interview.
"An interview where you said 'I'm off to rehabilitate all the rappers and basketball players' or something to that effect. Those words cut me deep, seeing how I had never known you to be with any rappers besides myself," he wrote. "It was at this moment out of hurt and natural instinct to strike back and defend my heart and ego that I said a lot of things."The revealing letter will be up for auction from July 19 to July 28th on the site Gotta Have Rock and Roll, and the bidding will start at $100,000.
