50 Cent Doesn't Want The Public To Know The Details Of His Vitamin Water Deal

50 Cent's deal with VitaminWater is the stuff of legends. According to reports, Fif netted $100 million when Coke bought VitaminWater's parent company in 2007. As part of the deal, 50 was required to do promotion for Coke until 2009.

As you know, 50 is going through bankruptcy proceedings these days. According to The Jasmine Brand, he recently made an unusual and perhaps telling request of the bankruptcy judge: he doesn't want any details of the Vitamin Water deal made public.

The 40-year old says if the terms of the deal are placed out in the open "it would ruin his career and give other companies the upper hand in negotiations for future deals."

50 seems particularly concerned about releasing any details of the promotional contract he signed with Coke after they bought VitaminWater.

At the very least, it would seem that whatever post-sale arrangement he made with Coke wasn't very favorable to him. This could also mean the $100 million he got from the sale was never a real number.
