Earlier this month, we learned the 21 Savage featuring Drake & Young Thug track Issa, which leaked in May, would never get an official release.
This confused people, especially those who expected the track to land on 21's debut album, which is also called Issa.

On Everday Struggle today, 21 explained why the track wasn't on the album -- and why it will never get a CDC.
"Coz somebody leaked it and I was like.. man, fuck it, I’mma just drop the album with all me,” he said of the feature-less 'Issa'. “I knew people were expecting the song to be on it but I’m like, I’m not gonna put it there so it could start some controversy,”Jump to the 14:30 mark to hear Savage's words.
What do you think about the strategy?
'Issa' did 77K first week, exceeding expectations. So there may have been something to it.
