2 Chainz Explains Why His Recording Session With Dr. Dre Was His Most Difficult

The stories about how hard it is to work with Dr. Dre in the studio are legendary.

Take Too Short, who said that Dre made him say the word p*ssy for four hours straight.

Another person who had a difficult recording session with the Compton legend is 2 Chainz, explaining that Dre didn't like the way he was delivering his words.

"I was trying to explain to Dr. Dre that a southern Black kid with an overbite is gonna sound different than a suburban white kid from Detroit," said 2 Chainz. "We’re gonna enunciate stuff different. He be like, 'Nah, say it like this.'"
 
"And he wants me to stack it," added the Atlanta rapper. "I might do one pass just my voice … He like, 'Stack it again.' I’m not good at saying the same thing the same way… 'Damn, this is five times. I don’t normally [record like this].' I could be on another song at my own studio."
