2 Chainz' Atlanta Restaurant Shut Down For COVID Violations

by HHL JT

The saga of 2 Chainz's Atlanta eatery Escobar Restaurant and Tapas and the Coronavirus continues.

When the state of Georgia first said they were reopening for business, 2 Chainz said it was too soon and he wouldn't open his restaurant.  Then he reversed and decide to open.  Then he changed his mind again and decided he would be opening just to feed the homeless.

Finally he opened to the public.  Now he's closed.

Last night, cops shut down Escober Restaurant and Tapas for violating the state's COVID 19 guidelines, which include limiting dine-in service to ten patrons max per table and allowing just ten patrons inside per 300 square feet of public space.  Patrons and staff are also expected to practice social distancing when possible.

As you can see in the video below, none of that was happening at 2 Chainz's place.

According to the police report "the location was rather loud, busy and occupied to be operating as a restaurant at that time of night."

Apparently, this has been an issue there since reopening but it wasn't until last night that the cops cracked down.  So far no word from 2 Chainz.
