Young Thug Can't Name New Album 'Carter VI'

Yesterday, as he was taking a shot at Young Money, Young Thug said his April 17 mixtape would be called Barter VI, instead of the Carter VI troll he'd been threatening for some time.

We thought it was just a case of Thugger messing with Blood-speak. But there's more to it. This evening, Thug got back on Instagram and announced that for legal reasons he won't be able to use the Carter VI title he pilfered from Lil Wayne.

"Can't name the mixtape Carter VI, cause these fuck ass niggas trying to sue just like some hoes," Thugger says in the IG video. " Big ol’ blood, so I’m going Barter VI. On the fucking way."
He doesn't mention who is suing him, but it could certainly be either Lil Wayne or Young Money. Whether the name change will push back the April 17 drop date is unclear.
