Yella Beezy had a very eventful 2018. He was shot multiple times and in that same year opened up for Jay-Z and Beyoncé when the On The Run II tour stopped in his hometown of Dallas.

The "That's On Me" rapper spoke to HipHopDX about the opening spot and said he didn't even want any money for it.

“I was on the road and they was like, ‘Hey, you gon’ be in town for such and such dates?’ I called my manager and DJ Khaled reached out, somebody reached out," Beezy explained. "‘Well, Beyoncé concert, they coming down here and they want you to open up.’ F*ck it, let’s go. What I’ma charge them for? I did it for free and I bought some tickets for my family to come. Just give my family some good seats and we good.”

When do you think it's okay for a rapper to perform for free?
