Last week, in a Breakfast Club interview that was more notable for something else, Wale suggested that Frank Ocean's career benefited from his being gay, and it may have helped him win two Grammy Awards in 2013.

TMZ's camera caught up with MMG rapper yesterday, and they asked him if he meant what he said about Ocean.

Wale goes out of his way to compliment Frank Ocean's skills, like he did in the Breakfast Club interview.

But he also doubles down on Ocean's gay "boost."

It was a unique situation and people profited from it, so they accelerated his position," Wale explained.
