Troy Ave has remained independent his whole career. He's been experiencing success regionally, and slowly becoming a bigger name due to 'All About The Money.' In an interview with Hot 97, the 29 year-old revealed that his BSB Records is about to enter into a joint venture with an unnamed record company that will be worth "seven figures."
"I'm going to get a joint venture. Everything I'm doing I told people I was going to do but they didn't believe me. I don't blame them. You've got people that just say things. Where I'm from you don't just say things, your word is everything."Hot 97's Miss Info and Nessa pressed him for additional information. In particular the rumor that T.I. has been wanting him for his Hustle Gang label. This is what Troy had to say about Tip:
"T.I.’s the home team. We’re putting plays together behind the scenes,” he says. “T.I. is definitely influential in everything I do, but I got the number one independent label in the streets–BSB Records. Self made and self paid and we're just doing what we do."Watch the interview below.
