Drake makes two references to the Golden State Warriors in his track 'Summer Sixteen.'
His buddy Steph Curry spoke on them both in an interview with TSN.
First, Curry addressed the 'You know Chubbs like Draymond' line, in which Drake seems to be comparing his bodyguard Chubbs to Draymond Green and his enforcer role with the Warriors.
'It meant we were going to hear a lot of that from Draymond, because he was hype," Curry explained. "'He's like 'I made it, my first All Star game and I got into a Drake song, so I'm in' That's a huge accomplishment."And what about the "Golden State running practice at my house" line?
"That's got some real life aspects," Curry said. "Me and my brother-in-law were playing one on one at Drake's house. They were watching, they didn't really shoot that much that day, but uh, my brother-in-law got all that work."So some artistic license was taken. But at least Curry approves. Check out the interview.
