Meek Mill denies that he was involved with the completely ineffective jumping of Safaree outside of DJ Khaled's pre-BET party in West Hollywood this weekend.

However, his goons are telling a different story. Sources have informed TMZ that Meek's crew warned Safaree to stay away days before the BET Awards.

Safaree didn't want to punk out and made it a point of pride to show up. When the goons saw him outside of the party, they pounced.

TMZ has also learned that while the beef may have begun with Nicki Minaj, now it's highly personal between her two exes.

After the incident in LA, Safaree challenged Meek to a one on one fight.

Meek turned him down, claiming he's a "don" and thus doesn't need to fight for himself.
