Pusha T is the latest rapper to be named a label boss.
According to Billboard, the Virginia Beach emcee and former Clipse member is now president of Kanye West's G.O.O.D. Music, which is an imprint of Def Jam.
Pusha explained why 'Ye tapped him to run the label that he founded in 2004.
"He respects me as an artist, a really manicured artist. I'm not out here shooting in the dark, doing any and every thing," Pusha told Billboard. "He knows that I’m of the people. He knows that I’m in those specific mixes of things that are bubbling up, whether it's online or before it even really gets hot online. He knows I study those different avenues."According to T, his new duties won't affect the release of his sophomore solo LP King Push, which we should expect at the beginning of the year.
